Tell me about yourself
Hey! My name is Josh and I’ll be your blogger today.
I’m based in London and I absolutely adore nature, there’s something about the way everything seems to come together so perfectly that makes sitting in the garden so enjoyable. I’m not the greatest gardener around, but I don’t mind getting my hands dirty and learning new things, which brings me to why I made this blog.
How did the site come about?
I love taking photos and plants are very photogenic, so I decided to buy a domain name on the 1st of July 2009 and haven’t looked back since. Helping others and meeting new people is one of the best parts of blogging, so you’re likely to find me tweeting on Twitter and looking to get involved in the community through other blogs.
What else do you do?
Whenever I’m not in my garden, you can find me playing guitar way too loud, cooking up a storm or grooving out with my funky hairbrush mic. I’m technically in a band, but actually performing has so far eluded us; jam sessions will never get old though.
Any plans for the future?
Well, I’m a student on a gap year right now and looking forward to starting university in autumn. After that (or possibly during, depending on how the cards fall) I want to start writing as a career. My main long-term goals are to have a book in your hands by the time I turn 21 and eventually teach children (and their parents) how to be more self-sufficient. Watch out, world!
In terms of this website, I want to create a fully functional gardening dictionary and question database to allow people easy access to information-on the-fly.
Where can I find out more?
Please feel free to drop me an email or leave a comment, I absolutely love hearing your stories. If you have a more general question, the FAQ page might have just what you’re looking for.
